Molly's I still have trouble with these, I use them for mostly post plant w/orb and nothing else, if I bothered to learn more lineups for popular defender spots they might be better. Other than that try to learn lineups for it to cover spots your wall can't, important lineups to learn are anything that can cover heaven if you need to prioritize something to learn, also it has some very good one way spots Her orb, is very good, I think it's the biggest smoke? If you don't know lineups then you can try and use it for postplant, since combined with a molly it can kill very fast. Her wall you have to think about how much space you are giving your team, sure they can get to the bomb site, but does it give them enough space to set up a defense on site? You have to be careful not to block an ops sight lines as well, I have a hard time improvising with it so I just stick to recommended walls really. Once you learn a few lineups you can see the general idea of her abilities and can improvise the more you play her. I just go to YouTube and look up "viper lineups" and anything by Brush I can recommend. Also, if you’re fighting an enemy and you hit them hard and hide in a lil corner, look to bounce the snake bite off the opposite wall so they either sit in and die or forced to jump out weak and fight you.įor viper you have to learn her lineups, she is gonna take more work to learn due cause you have to at least learn some lineups especially for the orb. I also use them to block off entrances to give myself some time. Can do the same on defense if they are planting on default locations. On defense you want to stay back and bounce them off a wall for instance on to the spike location to to prevent a defuse. The snakebite I usually use for spike protection. Similarly it can be used to give cover to make those defaulters to spray and prey thru or move around. Typically went the spike is planted there’s a default hiding spot I would place it there turn it on and come from somewhere else as a fake out. The orb I actually like to mainly use as a cover point. I like to use it as a fake as well throw it on A put it up but go B. This is another reason why Viper sees almost no selection in Valorant's competitive matches.Wall I typically use to block/cover any of the default defend spots so they have to walk thru and take damage to fight us. It is extremely unfortunate that such a unique Agent was so easily cast aside. No one seems to care about him due to the indifference shown by Riot Games. Viper is an agent that can realistically lock zones and build walls with smoke. Compared to other Valorant Agents, it's a terrible observation. While this Venom is active and the opponent does not restore health, Viper does not receive assist points if that player is killed by an ally. Venom Cloud, Venom Veil, and Ultimate, Viper's Lair, reduce enemy health while in Poison. Viper's three abilities correspond to an effect known as Decay. Support points are awarded to several Agents based on their abilities.Įxamples include Cypher getting assists when a teammate eliminates a player trapped in Traps, and Sage getting assisted when a player who has been resurrected or healed by Sage dies. Viper can really help a team with his abilities, but he can't get support status recognition. Someone with a lot of assists may not kill, but it clearly shows that he is a supportive player. "Viper's Lair" Ability Doesn't Count AssistsĪssists aren't the most important stat in Valorant, but they definitely show up when someone is a team player. Players are still finding reasons why Viper wasn't over-rated.Ī recent discussion on Reddit noted that Viper's effects on the game did not give the player any points in the assists column. When Valorant launched, Viper had plenty of potential.Įventually this potential was tapped, but other Agents also received changes that continue to make them more viable. The problem was that it took too long for Riot Games to make it useful. Valorant players don't pick the Viper as much as other Agents. Viper may be Valorant's least used Agent. Toxic Valorant Agent buffed, but issues seem to persist
